Designed and engineered with safety in mind. The bunk bed has heavy gauge 3 diameter metal tubing, full-length guardrails, and sturdy welded metal slat system for mattress support. Ladders are integrated on each side of bed.
Uses a standard twin size mattress and full size futon mattress (sold separately). Only use a twin size mattress that is 74-75 long and 37.5-38.5 wide on the upper bunk. Bunk bed is tested and certified by an independent testing laboratory to meet Consumer Product Safety Commission mandatory safety standards and ASTM F1427-01, CFR 1213, CFR 1513 safety specifications.
